Hi,

one thing first, if you want to use Unwrella in stand-alone mode you need the License Server also.

This is an installer error that we're getting mostly on computers with japanese regional settings. The installer isn't able to determine the path of any installed Max version of yours. It seems our page where you are able to adjust the path where Max is installed also doesn't work on these systems.

We are currently working on this issue, possibly the installer system we are using (NSIS) has some problems with UNICODE under asian systems.

As a temporary workaround I have attached all the files that the installer can't install and a short description where to copy them.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

thank you for help.

LicenseData.dll
LicenseClientCOM.dll
copy to --- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\
and delete same files under C:\

unwrella_MAX2009_x64.dlm
unwrella.ini
copy to --- C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\plugins\

run License Manager

user name : guest
generate -> copy code -> paste key -> register

got this error...

registration failed, code may be incorrect. error message : license string is not valid.

How should I do?

That licensing step is only necessary if you're having problems with the automatic-trial activation (run Max and apply Unwrella right away), which might happen on Vista systems. Or if you want to use a full commercial license that you have ordered and activated. In the first case you can request and activate a trial license key.

Activation is described in the "Installation and Licensing Manual" out of the start menu. When you really need to activate you are supposed to paste the installation code that has been generated into the following form:
http://www.3d-plugin.com/activation/

You'll receive your license key as fast as possible.
