[RESOLVED] Scaling from a cm file to a metres file

[RESOLVED] Scaling from a cm file to a metres file

Postby wrreisen » 28 Apr 2016 15:00

I have a rigged Biped with the system units set to cm.

I need to import this into a file that has to have its system units as metres as it is so large and V-ray has a limit on how many system units away from the origin before it fails.

I have other characters rigged with Skin and my method with those was in a newly reset 3ds max I would set the system units to metres then open the file with the .max file containing the Skin rigged character and pick the option to rescale this file to the existing metres system units and that would work but doesn't for the Bonespro rigged character.

What is the best way to scale a Biped with BonesPro from cm to metres please?

Thanks for any advice.

Hello wrreisen

thank you for your inquiry.
It is very simple.
Select Bip, go to T-Pose (reference frame 0) and in the Figure mode. Below you can see the "Height" value. Change it to any size you like, BonesPro uses relative units, it will work without problems in any size you enter there
