I'm having an issue with a scene with a large volume of instanced objects (2000+) that have unwrella applied. It seems that unwrella has a limit on how many objects it can work on, as after a certain amount of objects have had it applied, it starts unloading the UVW's for other objects, with no way to recover them, giving the error:

"Geometry cache could not be applied"

Is this just a glitch on my system, or a built in limitation of Unwrella?

hello 3rdfilms

this has apparently nothing to do with unwrella. I have just put Unwrella via script on 50 x 50 boxes, and it works. The error message "Geometry cache could not be applied" means once of your object has a triangle with 2 vertices. this crashes max/plugins. I dont know how this degenerated geometry has been created, but we have had few times such case.
To sum it up: everything is ok, one of your objects is degenerated. Try to isolate it and it wil work :)
