[RESOLVED] bring object baked with Flatiron to Unity

[RESOLVED] bring object baked with Flatiron to Unity

Postby fmk » 15 May 2014 06:40

Hi there,

I know some people had the same problem and already had the same discussion here.
I read all of them. But in my case, it's never solved.

I have 3dmodels in 3dsmax and baked with Flatiron.
I unwrap UV with target channel "2", and bake it. That worked well.
But when I bring the objects into Unity, the UV is really weird.
I think UV is not imported into Unity because I have UV map channel "2".

It seems like Unity supports only map channel "1" for diffuse color.
And if I set target channel "1" when I unwrap UV in Flatiron, the maps are distored.
How can I solve this problem?
Is there any way to unwrap UV with target channel "1" with Flatiron?

Thanks,
fmk

Hello frmruhxyz

thanks for your post.
If you move the UV channels without changing the corresponding UVChannel number in the material simultaneously, you basically destroy everything.

Use simply this script to swap the UV Channels :) (s. attachment)

thanks
best regards
